THE LIBRARIAN

The Librarian says he has read a book that has stopped him eating.

Now he reads his meals.

He reads eggs and bacon at breakfast time.

Sandwiches at lunch.

Chicken and Potatoes at dinner.

On Sundays he sits at the table and reads roasts to his children.

They say: “read us the one about ice cream”, for they are hungry.

He says: “not until I have finished reading you the one about the roast” and they sigh and twirl their hair between their fingers.
